Sophie (ソフィ Sofi) is the main heroine of Tales of Graces, and is the second playable character of the installment to be introduced to ACS. She was first seen by the young Asbel Lhant and Hubert Ozwell on top of a cliff. She had lost her memories and does not know who she is at first and why she was there. Adoring the field of purple flowers nearby, Asbel Lhant named her after the same flower and became very close friends with her.

Sophie's fighting style includes hand-to-hand martial arts combat with the use of bracers and many Burst Artes, the themes of which are lifted from the companions she had in Tales of Graces. Except for her HP, she has very good overall stats in ACS. As in Tales of Graces, Sophie can switch between two fighting styles Step and Dash. The mode in which she is in determines how she navigates the arena. She can also use the power of Lambda in the form of her Accelerate Mode: High Boost.

Sophie is generally easy to use but she can be very challenging to veteran players who want to execute her long and powerful combos.

  • Sophie is one of the two characters in ACS capable of using Accel Mode, the other being Asbel Lhant.
    • When in Accel Mode, Sophie will be enveloped by a purple light that constantly rotates around her.
    • When in Accel Mode, the cut-in for Sophie's Blast Calibers is replaced with the one from Tales of Graces f.
  • Whenever Sophie and Asbel Lhant battle each other, the two will converce shortly before fighting.
    • If Sophie wins, Malik Caesars will appear to add his thoughts to the conversation.
    • If Asbel Lhant wins, he will ask if Sophie is ok after the battle.
  • When holding ↑ before the battle starts, Sophie will have a different entry animation.
    • This does not work when she is faced against Asbel Lhant.
  • While using the artes based on the other characters, Sophie attempts to imitate their way of talking and voice tune.
  • Sophie can call Hubert Ozwell, Cheria Barnes and Pascal from Tales of Graces for help during her battles.

General Tips & Usage[]

  • Sophie has above average stats (damage output, movement speed, jump height) except for her HP and dash length which is considered average.
  • Sophie has an average defense against Guard Break.
  • Sophie receives 10% less damage from All Elemental Attacks besides Darkness and 20% less damage from Dark Elemental Attacks. (Please refer to this page for more information on ACS Elements).
  • Unique to Sophie alone, she can switch between two movement styles: Step and Dash.
    • At the start of any battle, Sophie will always be at Dash Mode. If you hold ↑ before the battle starts, Sophie will be in Step Mode instead and she will receive her Sense Flare physical attack buff. This will not work when she is faced against Asbel Lhant.
    • Sophie can freely switch between Step and Dash Modes by using Ataraxia (Pressing D).
    • When in Step Mode, instead of jumping and dashing, Sophie will be able to use different sidesteps.
      • All forms of sidesteps costs 1 CC to execute.
      • Sophie will be invulnerable from attacks while performing a sidestep.
      • Forward Sidestepping ( → → ) will allow you to pass through enemies.
      • Backward Sidestepping ( ← ← ) has the same range with Sophie's Forward Sidestep.
      • Static Sidestepping ( ↑ ) will allow you to dodge attacks and maintain your ground.
      • Sophie can only perform her air dashes during Step Mode if she air-techs after receiving an attack.
      • Sophie can still use her Forward Step and Backward Leap during Step Mode but with a significant decrease in its original range as compared to when used in Dash Mode.
    • When in Dash Mode, Sophie gains access to all the basic movements available to most ACS characters.
      • Sophie's High Jump reaches the top of the screen. During her High Jump, she can only perform an air dash once she starts free falling.
      • Sophie's Double Jump exceeds the screen's height and is higher than her High Jump. During her Double Jump, there is a portion of the jump where she spins in mid-air. While spinning in mid-air, she cannot perform any kind of air dash.
        • Sophie's Double Jump costs 1 CC to execute.
      • Sophie's Forward Step and Backward Leap have decent speed and covers a good range.
    • Unlike Asbel Lhant, switching styles does not give access to new attacks and cannot be used during mid-combo (and continue it).
  • Unlike other ACS characters, Sophie cannot use any kind of ground and aerial Melee attacks. She can only use artes.
  • Sophie's Accelerate Mode: High Boost is accessed by pressing F anytime during a combo (with the exception of after Blast Calibers).
    • Using Accel Mode will require atleast 1 bar of Overlimit Gauge. Accel Mode will slowly consume the Overlimit Gauge similar to Overlimit.
    • When activating Accel Mode, Nearby enemies will be blown away and Sophie's movement style will automatically be switched to Step Mode. During a Forward Sidestep, Sophie will charge across the screen, through the enemy, and deal damage, this allows more opportunities for combos. This is known as her Accel Forward Sidestep.
      • Accel Forward Sidestep costs 1CC and can be linked into almost every one of her moves, however only Touki or another Accel Forward Sidestep can be successfully linked after it making it impractical to use in the middle of an Assault Arte combo. Distance traveled is in set intervals based on proximity from opponent. There's a chance based on how far away she is that Sophie will stop too far out of range of the opponent to link Touki after this.
    • If Sophie switches back to Dash Mode, her Accel Mode will not disappear. Although she wont be able to use her Accel Forward Sidestep unless she switches back into Step Mode, she does have increased movement speed to compensate for it.
    • Sophie can also use her artes that require Overlimit status when she is in Accel Mode.
  • Resembling her game's system, Sophie uses a Chain Capacity (CC) Gauge, enabling her to use artes in her combos as long as she has enough CC to use each arte.
    • Sophie starts with 9 CC. This number increases by 1 every time a combo costing 4 or more CC is completed. Once her CC reaches 13, though, the number will revert back to 9 after the next combo.
      • If the combo was in the air, the CC Gauge replenishes when she lands.
    • For every hit that Sophie connects to an enemy, there is a very small chance her CC will be temporarily increased by 1 or 2. The temporary increase can only reach a maximum of 15 CC and will always disappear after every combo.
    • During Overlimit Lv1 or Accel Mode, Sophie's maximum CC will always start at 14 and will only reset back to 9 once Overlimit or Accel Mode expires.
    • During Overlimit Lv2, Sophie's CC is frozen at 15.
  • All of Sophie's Assault (CC4) Artes (as well as Catastrophe) have invincibility frames, meaning for the duration of the attack, Sophie cannot be hit. In the case of Catastrophe, the invincibility starts right as she raises both arms.
  • Sophie's chain order consists of:
    • Assault (CC1) > Assault (CC2) > Assault (CC3) > Assault (CC4) > Blast Caliber or Tenketsubakutai
    • Most of Sophie's Burst Artes can be inserted anytime within the chain order so long as she has enough CC to do so. If this is done, the chain order will not move to the next Assault arte type until an Assault Arte is used.
    • If Sophie fails to reach Assault (CC4) during her combo because she does not have enough CC to execute the next Assault arte type within the chain order, she can still use an Assault Arte depending on her remaining CC with Assault (CC3) to be executed as the highest priority and Assault (CC1) as the lowest priority.
    • Upon execution of a Assault (CC4) arte, the chain order will reset back to Assault (CC1) if Blast Calibers or Tenketsubakutai are not used. Sophie can still continue the combo as long as she has enough CC.
    • Using Overlimit or Accel Mode will never reset her chain order. Instead she will continue the chain order until she reaches Assault (CC4). The rules in the above bullets will also be applied.
    • Normally, using any of Sophie's Blast Caliber will end the chain.

  • Touki (Shimmering Cut)

    • Sophie hits the enemy with her left bracer. If used in mid-air, she will perform a kick instead.
    • The perfect timing to connect this arte to others is to press the next command just as Touki's backswing (the animation after hiting the enemy) ends.
    • Can combo into any other attack except Blast Calibers.
    • TTS is Fast. TTL is Short.
  • Sazan (Triple Strike)
    • Sophie quickly stabs the enemy three times.
    • The perfect timing to connect this arte to others is to press the next command simultaneously with Sazan's 3rd hit landing on the enemy.
    • Cannot combo into Reishishoudan or Sengenbu.
    • TTS is Fast. TTL is Short.
  • Sougetsu (Double Moon)
    • Sophie kicks upward twice in a cresent-shaped fashion.
    • This is the best arte to chain to Kouyokutenshou.
    • This is also the recommended arte to use if you want to unleash Accel Mode without blowing away the enemy.
    • Can combo into any other attack.
    • TTS is Fast. TTL is Average.
  • Senkou (Piercing Blast)
    • Sophie jumps into the air and fired a blue beam at the ground.
    • Not recommended for use when the enemy is very near or cornered against a wall since it might miss.
    • Except for Blast Caliburs, you can't combo this arte to other artes.
    • Light Elemental.
    • TTS is Average. TTL is Non-existent.
  • Yousoushuugeki (Eagle Dive)
    • Sophie kicks upward and slams the ground under her. She then performs a backflip and lands in front of the enemy.
    • This arte has several functions:
      • Press or hold → just as Sophie lands on the ground to change the backflip into a somersault with Sophie landing behind the enemy.
      • Press or hold ← just as Sophie lands on the ground to significantly increase the backflip's range.
      • You may cancel the backflip animation by inputting another arte just as Sophie lands on the ground. This is actually the ideal way to chain this arte to others.
    • Make sure you're on the ground before comboing into Seppashou or Sougetsu.
    • Cannot combo into Soudou Shouteiha.
    • TTS is Fast. TTL is Short and Average if you cancel the backflip animation with an arte.
  • Seppashou (Demolition Drive)
    • Sophie charges toward the enemy and spins around, hitting the enemy.
    • Cannot combo into Senkou, Rekkouzanmetsu, Kouyokutenshou.
    • TTS is Fast. TTL is Short.
  • Renkigoushuku (Spirit Rush)
    • Sophie holds back before jumping forward and unleashing a green shockwave, followed by a blue one, knocking the enemy away.
    • Sophie's best non-Blast Calibur arte in ending combos.
    • Great knockback effect and disables enemies.
    • You can continue the combo after this arte by performing Sophie's Accel Forward Sidestep but your CC Gauge will not recover when this is done.
    • Wind Elemental.
    • TTS is Fast. TTL is Very Short.
  • Jinreisen (Elegant Flash)
    • Sophie slashes up and through the enemy.
    • At the end of the attack, Sophie is on the other side of the enemy. Useful for side shifting combos.
    • One of the artes that can be used in the Scalar Gunner Loop Combo.
      • The perfect timing to connect Scalar Gunner or other artes is to press the command simultaneously with the slash hitting the enemy.
    • TTS is Fast. TTL is Average.
  • Reishishoudan (Lucent Palisade)
    • Sophie jumps into the air, lands on the ground and creates an area or orange energy in front of her.
    • Moderate knockback effect. This arte's knockback is significantly reduced when the combo counter exceeds 16 hits.
    • You can recover your CC and combo this arte back to Touki so long as the combo counter does not exceed 16 hits.
      • This can be done either in Dash Mode or Step Mode. You have to wait for Sophie's CC to recover before dashing/forward sidestepping towards the enemy.
    • Cannot combo into Senkou.
    • Can only combo into Kouyokutenshou if against a wall.
    • TTS is Average. TTL is Long and becomes Short when the combo counter exceeds 16 hits.
  • Rekkouzanmetsu (Sundering Fury)
    • Sophie jumps into the air and performs a dive kick. When she lands, she kicks upward sending out multiple crescents of energy.
    • You can recover your CC and combo this arte back to Touki so long as the combo counter does not exceed 22 hits.
      • This can be done in Step Mode only. You have to Forward Sidestep as soon as possible and wait for your CC to recover before using Touki.
      • During Accel Mode, this can still be done even if the combo counter is above 22 hits using Sophie's Accel Forward Sidestep. The combo counter must not exceed around 35+ hits for this to work.
    • TTS is Average. TTL is Long and becomes Short / Very Short when the the combo counter reaches 23 hits and 35 hits respectively.
  • Souryuukyaku (Dragon Dash)
    • Sophie kicks twick with crescents of darkness.
    • Can combo into any other attack.
    • One of the artes that can be used in the Scalar Gunner Loop Combo.
    • The perfect timing to connect Scalar Gunner or other artes is to press the command simultaneously with the landing of this arte's second hit.
    • You can recover your CC and combo this arte back to Touki so long as the combo counter does not exceed 15 hits.
      • This can be done either in Dash Mode or Step Mode. You just have to use Touki at the same time as Sophie's CC recovery with perfect timing. Some practice is required to execute this properly.
    • TTS is Average. TTL is Average.
  • Sengenbu (Phantom Dance)
    • Sophie spins around four times, damaging the enemy.
    • Press and hold → to sideshift to the enemy's back.
    • This arte has low combo potential.
    • TTS is Average. TTL is Short.
  • Kouyokutenshou (Angelic Ascent)
    • Sophie jumps into the air, and with wings of light, the area below her glows with energy.
    • If you have 3 CC left after the attack is used, you can quickly press D to chain this arte to Kouyokutenshou Hasei.
    • The area below Sophie, which causes the damage, cannot be blocked.
    • This arte is ideally chained from Sougetsu since the enemy will be inflicted with Air-tech Disable when Kouyokutenshou is used.
    • Costs TP.
    • Light Elemental.
    • TTS is Slow. TTL is Average.
  • Kouyokutenshou Hasei ("Angelic Ascent" Extension)
    • Still with wings of light, Sophie jumps higher and fires a beam of blue light at the ground.
    • Light Elemental.
    • TTS is Average. TTL is Non-existent.
  • Soudou Shouteiha (Reaper's Toll)
    • Sophie charges forward, hitting the enemy with her palms.
    • One of the artes that can be used in the Scalar Gunner Loop Combo.
      • The perfect timing to connect Scalar Gunner or other artes is to press the command simultaneously with the landing of this arte's second hit.
    • Can combo into any other attack.
    • Costs a very small amount of the Overlimit Gauge when used.
    • TTS is Average. TTL is Average.
  • Shishisenkou (Beast)
    • Sophie pulls back and throws forward a huge burst of energy, resembling a lion, throwing the enemy across the screen.
    • Cannot combo into any other attack.
    • Cannot be blocked.
    • Costs a very small amount of the Overlimit Gauge when used.
    • TTS is Fast. TTL is Non-existent.
  • Tenketsubakutai (Deadly Force)
    • Sophie thrusts forward, firing a large blast of energy that freezes the target for a short time.
    • Inflicts the Confirmed status effect and tints the screen black. This allows Sophie to recover her CC and restart her chain order. This arte must be used in order to gain access to her Karyuuenbu Blast Caliber.
      • This arte no longer inflicts the Confirmed status effect and cannot be used to execute Karyuuenbu if the combo counter reaches around 70+ hits.
    • Cannot combo into Blast Caliburs.
    • Cannot be blocked.
    • TTS is Fast. TTL is Long and becomes Non-existent when the combo counter reaches 70+ hits.

Burst Artes[]

  • Ataraxia
    • Sophie concentrates to switch between movement styles.
    • Switch Sophie's movement styles between Dash Mode and Step Mode.
    • Heals a minimal portion of HP.
      • Heals a moderate amount of HP during Accel Mode.
      • It's best to spam this arte while the enemy disabled for faster HP recovery.
      • During Accel Mode, spamming this arte for the entire duration of Accel Mode can heal about 45% of Sophie's HP.
    • Not combo-able.
    • TTS is Average.
  • Sense Flare (Sensor Flare)
    • Sophie absorbs energy from around her, increasing her attack.
    • Adds an extra 10 damage for the first hit done to an enemy after using this arte.
    • This buff is negated if the first hit has been made or the sword icon above Sophie's HP bar dissappears.
    • Not combo-able.
    • TTS is Average.
  • Repeller Charge (Rapier Rush)
    • Sophie pauses for a short moment and anticipates an enemy's attack.
    • If damaged during this time, Sophie will counter with a thrust across the enemy.
    • If not damaged during this time, Sophie will be left vulnerable to attacks for a second.
    • Sophie is invulnerable during the arte's animation.
    • This arte is a stand alone and cannot be used within Sophie's chain order.
    • The counter attack can be comboed to other artes without any problems.
    • This arte can be used to evade almost ANY attacks without fail, including long ranged artes and non-Instant TTS Mystic Artes.
    • TTS is Very Fast. TTL is Short.
  • Astral Belt (Sword Assault)
    • Building on inspiration from her companion Asbel Lhant, Sophie holds back before rushing forward and slashing the enemy.
    • Sophie cannot be staggered during the portion of the arte's animation.
    • Sophie can chain this atack to itself by pressing C during the animation (much like Asbel Lhant) but will not be considered as a valid combo. The extension's lunging range is significantly reduced.
    • TTS is Slow but becomes Average during Accel Mode. TTL is Short.
  • Uberty (Dualblade Spin)
    • Building on inspiration from her companion Hubert Ozwell, Sophie hits the enemy into the air, kicking them around before a final upward kick.
    • Can be comboed into from most Assault Artes.
    • TTS is Fast. TTL is Average.
  • Shell Throw (Dagger Splash)
    • Building on inspiration from her companion Cheria Barnes, Sophie jumps into the air and throws down spikes of energy, originating from ther hands. She then lands on the other side of the enemy.
    • Can only be comboed into from Reishishoudan.
    • The higher Sophie is off the ground, the more ground the attack will cover.
    • Cannot be linked to Blast Caliburs.
    • Dash Cancel and Double Jump can sometimes be used after this arte.
    • While in Overlimit or Accel Mode, the end animation of this arte is faster.
    • TTS is Slow. TTL is Non-existent and becomes Short during Overlimit or Accel Mode.
  • Mark Reverse (Bladerang Hurl)
    • Building on indpiration from her companion Malik Caesars, Sophie throws out a crescent of energy that returns to her after traveling a certain distance.
    • Can only be comboed into from Reishishoudan.
    • Travels about 80% of the screens length before returning. During Accel Mode, the range is increased to 110% of the screen's length.
    • Sophie can change the direction of the projectile by pressing and holding ↑ or ↓.
    • Cannot be linked to Blast Caliburs.
    • TTS is Slow. TTL is Non-existent.
  • Scalar Gunner (Shotstaff Blast)
    • Building on inspiration from her companion Pascal, Sophie holds back before shooting a burst of fire.
    • During Accel Mode, this arte is executed faster, enanling you to use the Scalar Gunner Loop Combo.
    • The attack will appear at the enemy's X-value. That is, it will always appear over them unless if they are in the air, where it will appear below them.
    • Fire Elemental.
    • TTS is Slow but becomes Average during Accel Mode. TTL is Average.
  • Catastrophe (Gauntlet Blitz)
    • Using the energy within, Sophie charges forward trailing streaks of energy behind her.
    • Not combo-able.
    • Travels all the way across the screen.
    • Damage is maximized if the enemy is hit while in mid-range from Sophie.
    • Can only be linked to Blast Caliburs.
    • If used from 80-100% screen distance away or against a cornered opponent can be linked into any of her normal combos.
    • TTS is Slow. TTL is Non-existent normally but becomes Long if used on an that is against a wall or atleast 80%-100% screen distance away from the enemy.
  • Slash Rose
    • Building on inspiration from her companion Richard, Sophie slashed a red star into the air before shattering it.
    • Can be comboed into from most Assault Artes.
    • Requires Overlimit or Accel Force.
    • If not in Overlimit, Sophie will instead use Astral Belt.
    • Slightly reduces an enemy's Overlimit Gauge.
    • Can be converted to Rick Rose arte by quickly pressing after the command input.
    • TTS is Fast. TTL is Average.
  • Rick Rose
    • Sophie attacks her enemies by unleashing a rose-shaped blast from where they are standing.
    • Requires Overlimit or Accel Force.
    • Converted from Slash Rose arte.
    • Works similar to Rid Hershel's Fujinbakufuu but can be blocked.
    • Does not follow enemies if they jump in the air.
    • TTS is Slow. TTL is Average.

Support Artes[]

  • Flare Shot
    • Hubert Ozwell comes to Sophie's aid and shots fire bullets using his hi-tech pistol on the enemy.
    • The amount of shots used by Hubert is random and can go from 1 to 10 shots. These shot will not combo with each other unless combined with Sophie's other attacks.
    • Only one instance of Hubert Ozwell or Cheria Barnes can be present in battle. They cannot be summoned at the same time.
    • Costs a very small amount of the Overlimit Gauge when used.
    • TTS is Slow. TTL is Short per hit.
  • Lightning Blaster (Lightning Blast)
    • Cheria Barnes comes to Sophie's aid and casts a spell that releases three lightning bolts in slightly different angles, hitting the enemy 3 times.
    • This spell has a high damage for its simplicity and low TP cost but has a really small stagger time.
    • Only one instance of Hubert Ozwell or Cheria Barnes can be present in battle. They cannot be summoned at the same time.
    • Costs a very small amount of the Overlimit Gauge when used.
    • TTS is Slow. TTL is Short.
  • Dream Fandom (Fangirl Dream)
    • Pascal appears and casts for a time before making appear a chibi robot version of Sophie that fires multiple missiles to finish launching various lasers on the enemy.
    • This arte can be chained to Dream Strikers if → E is pressed after Dream Fandom finished,
      • If you do not extend this arte to Dream Strikers, Pascal ends the spell laying on the ground complaining at the result of it.
    • This spell can only be used once.
      • Everytime Overlimit or Accel Mode is used, Pascal can be resummoned again in battle.
    • Costs a moderate amount of the Overlimit Gauge when used.
    • This spell also has a cooldown before it can be used again.
    • TTS is Slow. TTL is Long.
  • Dream Strikers (Fever Dream)

    Richard Salute

    Richard salutes.

    • Pascal runs towards the enemy while on a chibi robot version of Asbel and explodes on contact with the enemy.
    • Can only be used as an extension from Dream Fandom
    • This arte has a secret extension. To execute it follow the steps below:
      • Step 1: Use Dream Fandom at the very end of the map. If you fail the first time, unleash Sophie's Overlimit and try again.
      • Step 2: Just after chibi robot Sophie finishes attacking, press → E to extend to Dream Strikers. You must stay at the very edge of the map, specifically behind the place where chibi robot Sophie was standing.
      • Step 3: As soon as chibi robot Asbel and Pascal appears, immediately hold ← and rapidly press B. If done correctly, you will see a cut-in where Sophie and her chibi robot salute during the explosion from Dream Strikers.
      • Step 4: After the cut-in dissappears, you will notice that the screen is still tinted in black. Press → F to make Sophie ride chibi Sophie and ram the enemy.
      • Step 5: While Sophie is riding chibi robot Sophie, rapidly press A to show Richard's cut-in during the 2nd explosion.
    • TTS is Slow. TTL is Short.

Blast Calibers[]

All Blast Calibers will connect if the enemy is not guarding (etc.); cannot miss.

  • Critical Blade
    • Sophie charges the enemy three times before smashing down with all her might, blowing the enemy away.
    • Requires too much TP for the amount of damage done.
    • It is possible to continue your combo afterwards IF you are in Accel Mode. This is done by double tapping → after Sophie's CC recovers. This will only work on two occasions:
      • The enemy does not air-tech after this arte.
      • The enemy's position is near a wall or cornered against a wall that after using Critical Blade, the enemy is inflicted with Air-tech Disable.
    • If Sophie is in Accel Mode, the cut-in is changed to her Tales of Graces f version.
    • You may tap up button instantly during its execution to hear an alternate voice clip.
    • TTS is Instant. TTL is Very Short
  • Infinitia Soul
    • Sophie rams the enemy before unleashing multiple streaks of pink energy, before smashing the enemy to the ground with all her might.
    • A decent amout of TP required
    • It is possible to continue your combo afterwards IF the enemy does not air-tech. This is done by jumping into the air and using Yousoushuugeki.
    • If Sophie is in Accel Mode, the cut-in is changed to her Tales of Graces f version.
    • A different cut-in will appear if you tap up instantly before activating Infinitia Soul.
    • You may tap up button instantly during execution to an alternate voice clip.
    • TTS is Instant. TTL is Very Short
  • Zero Dissolver
    • Sophie projects multiple spears of light before unleashing countless coloured slashes and kicks in the air. She then surrounds the enemy in a large ball of energy, which results in a large explosion. "Sayonara...".
    • Very powerful but requires a lot of TP and Overlimit or Accel Mode.
    • If Sophie is in Accel Mode, the cut-in is changed to her Tales of Graces f version.
    • TTS is Instant. TTL is Non-existent.
  • Shadow Moment
    • Sophie blows the enemy away with a charged blast from her bracers. She then chases after him/her and runs through, causing trailing streaks of energy to slice the enemy to pieces.
    • Requires TP and Accel Mode.
    • This Blast Caliber drains the enemy's TP by 50% if successfuly connected.
    • Requires less TP than Zero Dissolver.
    • It is possible to continue your combo afterwards IF you are still in Accel Mode. This is done by double tapping → after Sophie's CC recovers.
    • Press and hold ↓ to display an additional cut-in near the end of the mystic arte's animation.
    • TTS is Instant. TTL is Very Short.
  • Karyuuenbu (Fire Dragon Rampage)
    • Sophie rages at the enemy while covered in flames launching multiple kicks in a elegant dance of fire.
    • Requires a small amount of TP, Overlimit or Accel Mode to execute.
    • It is the weakest of her Blast Calibers and the most difficult to activate. Although, it possesses great potential upon ending a combo.
    • Here are the steps to activate this Blast Calibur:
      • Step 1: Activate Overlimit Lv1 or Accel Mode.
      • Step 2: Use any Assault (CC1) to Assault (CC4) Combo then Tenketsubakutai. Make sure you have atleast 14 CC at the start of the combo. This is only possible if you are in Overlimit or Accel Mode. (e.g. Touki > Yousoushuugeki > Seppashou > Renkigoushuku > Tenketsubakutai)
        • Note: Use the sample combo on an enemy that is cornered against a wall.
      • Step 3: You will notice that after Tenketsubakutai, the screen is slightly tinted in black. Wait for your CC Gauge to recover then use another any Assault (CC1) to Assault (CC4) Combo and then Karyuuenbu will automatically activate. (e.g. Touki > Yousoushuugeki > Seppashou > Renkigoushuku > Karyuuenbu).
    • It is possible to continue your combo afterwards IF you are in Accel Mode. This is done by double tapping → after Sophie's CC recovers.
    • If Sophie is in Accel Mode, the cut-in is changed to her Tales of Graces f version.

      • Note 2: You may spam this command (about 20% of the time you'll make a mistake) or you could time it. Press the command simultaneously with the ending of Sophie's backswing (The animation after hitting the enemy).
      • Note 3: You may spam this command (about 40% of the time you'll make a mistake so I really recommend that you time it) or you could time it. Press the command simultaneously with the 3rd hit from Sazan.
      • Note 4: Press the command for Scalar Gunner simultaneously with the 2nd hit from Soudou Shouteiha. Pressing the command too early will disallow Sophie to recover her CC Gauge before dashing towards the opponent. Pressing it too late would reset the combo counter.
      • Note 5: Wait for your CC to recover first. Once you hear the CC recovery sound effect, dash towards the enemy immediately.
  • Sophie's Scalar Gunner Loop Combo which can only be used during Accel Mode. This combo becomes more difficult as you use it repeatedly.

  • Sophie's bread and butter combo. You'll find yourself using this combo most of the time while playing Sophie.
  • You can alter the last part of the combo to your liking. Try using disabling artes or Blast Caliburs.

      • Note 6: If you're extremely fast/lucky you may be able to continue your combo after the second hi-ougi with a dash, assuming you're still in Accel Mode, the enemy is still alive and the Blast Calibur you used is Shadow Moment.
  • Sophie's bread and butter combo with an Accel Mode extension. A little tricky but very powerful.

      • Note 1: Use Reishishoudan as soon as Sophie touches the ground from the downward kick of Yousoushuugeki. You can spam the command if your not used to the timing yet.
      • Note 2: Wait for your CC to recover before dashing towards the enemy.
      • Note 3: Use Seppashou as soon as Sophie touches the ground from the downward kick of Yousoushuugeki. Story Mode[]

Sophie has a total of 6 Story Modes, ranging from Easy to Unknown 2. Note that all modes including and preceding Hard feature opponents that come in "Rounds", meaning that the field, positions, and statistics (HP and otherwise) will reset once an opponent is defeated. Modes after Hard feature opponents that come one after another, meaning that the fields, positions, and statistics of your character will not reset once an opponent has been defeated. However, A portion of your HP is refunded whenever an opponent is defeated in Mania Mode. Like Asbel, Sophie has a harder variation of Unknown that can be chosen by pressing F.
