Lilith

Lyris using Shisha no Mezame.

Lyris Aileron (リリス・エルロン Ririsu Eruron), known as Lilith Aileron in the original Tales of Destiny game, is an optional playable character in Tales of Destiny's remake and is Stan Aileron's little sister. She worries about her older brother (whom she addresses as "onii-chan" at all times) who is always going about on adventures and wishes that he would simply stay home in their village with her and their grandfather.

Lyris battles using a ladle and a frying pan as her primary weapons and makes use of her martial arts to defeat enemies. She can only use strike artes, which are are usually themed to either cooking and/or lightning. Her stats are mostly average and generally she does not have any weaknesses. Her strength lies in the high-damage potential of her artes, combos and Blast Calibers.

Lyris is neither easy nor difficult to use and is recommended to players with general knowledge on fighting games.

Character Facts[]

  • Lyris has 500 HP.
    Mighty Kongman

Lyris Aileron is about to interfere with her brother's match against Mighty Kongman.

  • She arrives at the battle while riding on her "manbou".
  • She only has one victory pose.
  • She is one of the few characters in ACS that can use Overlimit in mid-air.
  • When faced against Stan Aileron, she will appear by interfering with Stan's match against Mighty Kongman.
  • Other than Stan Aileron, she is also related by blood to Kyle Dunamis.

General Tips & Usage[]

  • All of Lyris's stats, from attack power to move speed are average as compared to other ACS characters. Her aerial dashes are a bit short though and she can easily have her guard broken by using a few consecutive attacks.
  • Lyris receives 40% more damage from Earth Elemental attacks and 30% less damage from Fire Elemental attacks. (Please refer to this page for more information on ACS Elements).
  • Lyris can perform all of the basic movements available to most ACS characters except for the high jump.
    • Lyris's aerial dashes, forward leap and backward leap costs 1 CC to execute.
    • Lyris can chain her forward air dash with her backward air dash and vice versa. She cannot chain two consecutive forward air dashes and backward air dashes though.
    • Lyris's forward leap has a very good range and speed which allows her to evade a lot of ACS ground based spells.
  • Lyris has two melee ground attacks (A & B) and a basic riser attack (C then tap ↑). She also has two melee aerial attacks (A & C).
    • Her basic melee attacks can be chained for up to 7 hits as follows:
    • A > A > A then tap ↑ > A (peak of jump) > A (on the ground) > A > A.
    • No artes can be chained after the 7th hit so it's recommended to use 6 hits instead.
  • Lyris is immune to hitstun from non-launching normal attacks.
  • Most of Lyris's aerial artes can be canceled by doing a forward or backward air dash just before the arte has been fully executed. This move is known as Dash Cancel (DC).
    • This action costs Lyris 1 CC to execute.
  • Lyris can use Overlimit Lv1 in mid-air during/after using an aerial arte.
  • Lyris uses a Chain Capacity (CC) Gauge, enabling her to create a combination made of many different artes, as long as she has enough CC to use each arte.
    • Lyris's starting CC is set at 9. Her CC Gauge replenishes back to 9 once a combo ends and she lands back down on the ground.
    • For every hit that Lyris connects to an enemy, there is a small chance of temporarily increasing her current CC by 1 or 2.
      • This temporary increase can only reach a maximum of 15 points (Lyris's CC Gauge Limit) and expires if not used for a short period of time or after a combo ends.
    • During Overlimit Lv1, Lyris's starting CC is set at 15.
    • During Overlimit Lv2, Lyris's starting CC is also set at 15 and will not decrease when she uses artes or performs certain actions for the duration of Overlimit Lv2.
  • Her chain order consists of:
    • Melee > Any Arte Type > Any Arte Type > etc.
    • If any of Lyris's Blast Calibers are used, the chain will immediately end.

Advance Tips & Combos[]

Battle Strategy []

General Use Combos[]

Rainbow Arch Combo[]

  • Melee Attack A X2 > Riser Attack C then tap Up > Aerial Melee Attack A [Note 1] > Melee Attack A X2 [Note 2] > Rainbow Arch X4-6 [Note 3] > [Note 4]
  • Quick Input Version:
  • A > A > A or C then tap ↑ > A > A > A > ↓→D > ↓→D > ↓→D > ↓→D > ↓→D > ↓→D > [Note 4].
  • Total Hits vary with the artes used on Note 4.
  • Damage at the minimum use of this combo is 1/6 of Kakashi Scarecrow's 500 HP. At the most, it can cause 3/5 damage to Kakashi Scarecrow's 500 HP.
    • Requirements:
      • CC is set at 9 or above.
      • TP (Optional) for various artes used in Note 4.
    • Notes:
      • Note 1: Press A at the peak of the jump to kick the enemy's face. Pressing too early will not allow you to continue the combo and pressing it too late would make Lyris miss.
      • Note 2: Press A just as Lyris touches the ground.
      • Note 3: Press ↓→D quickly for four times (If you gain additional CC during mid-combo you can chain up to six only). The enemy will be slightly hurled upward and move towards Lyris.
        • Sometimes, due to the different hit box sizes of ACS characters, an enemy will end up at Lyris's back upon the 5th or 6th use of Rainbow Arch. In these cases, reduce the number of Rainbow Archs used by one or two and improvise the combo a little.
      • Note 4: If you still have 2 and above CC left but already used 5-6 Rainbow Archs, you may do any of the following below:
        • Remaining CC is 2:
          • Turn Over
          • ↓←B
        • Remaining CC is 3:
          • Shihisenkou (Requires timing) > Shikou Bakusaijin.
          • →←→B > E.
          • Any of Lyris's Blast Calibers except Shungokusatsu and Raiga.
          • ↓→←E or ↓←→E.
        • Remaining CC is 4 and above:
          • Aqua Smite > Rainbow Arch X? [Note 3] > Aqua Smite > Rainbow Arch X? [Note 3] Repeat until no CC is left or use a Blast Caliber as a finisher.
          • ↓→B > ( ↓→D ) X6 > ↓→B > ( ↓→D ) X6 > ...
  • Lyris Bread and Butter Combo; easy to use and has a good damage potential (dependent on CC acquired during mid-combo).
  • This combo is subject to adjustments depending on the size of an enemy's hit box.
  • You can further extend the combo by using Overlimit 1 or 2.

Rainbow Overkill Combo[]

  • Melee Attack A X2 > Riser Attack C then tap Up > Aerial Melee Attack A [Note 1] > Melee Attack A X2 [Note 2] > Rainbow Arch X4-6 [Note 3] > Overlimit Lv2 [Note 4] > ( Aqua Smite [Note 5] > Rainbow Arch X6 [Note 3] ) X Repeat until remaining CC is 4 or 5 > Raiga
  • Quick Input Version:
  • A > A > A or C then tap ↑ > A > A > A > ↓→D > ↓→D > ↓→D > ↓→D > ↓→D > ↓→D > ↓F > ( ↓→B > ↓→D > ↓→D > ↓→D > ↓→D > ↓→D > ↓→D ) XRepeat until CC = 4 or 5 > ↓↓↓E.
  • Total Hits vary with luck in acquiring additional CC during mid-combo.
  • Damage instantly kills Kakashi Scarecrow (500 HP).

      Lyris's Rainbow Overkill Combo

      • Starting CC is set at 9 or above.
      • Overlimit Gauge LVL 2.
      • TP for Raiga.
      • Note 4: Use Overlimit Lv2 before the enemy lands back on the ground.
      • Note 5: As the combo counter increases, the more difficult it is to connect Aqua Smite and Rainbow Arch.
  • Lyris's powerful Rainbow Arch combo. This is possibly one of the strongest combos in ACS (not counting the infinite combos). It's actually pretty easy to use and does not require the enemy to be against a wall.
